In the past two years, PAKATAN has done nothing but giving us nightmares after nightmares. Political turmoil in Perak, demolition of Kampung Buah Pala in Penang and pig slaughterhouse in Kedah, ban of alcohols in Selangor, extremism in Islamic Kelantan...etc and many more.
"Cawat" (loincloth) as we may have already know, is part of a traditional costume for Sarawak's Dayak community, something they take pride of, a symbol of courage.
Traditions of Dayak community has long been accepted and well respected by all races in Sarawak, under BN's leadership. It is cherished, and it's pride defended.
Such sarcasm remark, coming from a political leader such as PAS President Hadi Awang was indeed very disappointing. It is insensitive, offensive and insulting!!
DAP is working hand in hand with PAS and PKR during Sibu parliamentary by-election. This, unavoidably makes me wonder, what are DAP leaders thinking??
Under 1MALAYSIA concept, the entire nation is united as one, regardless of his/her religious and racial background, everyone stands a fair chance under PM Datuk Seri Mohd Najib's leadership.
Under Pakatan, on the other hand, rakyat of Malaysia will split into different factions because DAP, PKR and PAS share no common values in administering the country. Rather than a coalition, they're more like cohabitation.
Inadvertent error!! Wong Ho Leng raises his hand Showing his support to 1Malaysia concept Agreeing to vote for no.1 candidate Robert Lau Hui Yew Sibu Parliamentary by-election was held on 8th of May, DAP candidate Wong Ho Leng (frm right) made an inadvertent mistake, showing a number one hand sign while posing for a group photo with SUPP candidate Rober Lau Hui Yew and independent candidate Narawi Haron who gave a thumbs up in front of the nomination center. Does this mean that Wong also agrees to 1Malaysia concept and to vote for number one BN candidate Robert Lau?
Anwar Ibrahim declared that a new Pakatan Rakyat government would be formed once the alliance takes over Barisan Nasional government on 16th of September.Since Pakatan took over government of 5 pennisular states after the 308 general election, we have yet to see any progress or political achievements coming from the alliance. Not only that, it seems like Pakatan Rakyat government is backsliding, its reputation slacking and supporters are greatly disappointed.
2.)MB Selangor engulfed in corruption case
Pakatan government tried to figure a rectitude image to gain people’s trust, while Menteri Besar of Selangor Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim on the other hand, spent tens of thousands of ringgit on donating cattle to a mosque, and now is being investigated by MACC for misuse of powers. This has wrecked Pakatan’s reputation to pieces.
3.)Conflicts within Pakatan deteriorates
Pakatan’s formation hasn’t been long, but conflicts between the 3 component parties, PKR, DAP and PAS are getting worse. This clearly shows that there are still many unsolved contradictions within the alliance, hence, its ability to govern are very much questionable.
4.)Agitation under Pakatan’s governance
Defection of Jelapang state assemblywomen Hee Yit Foong had surged up one of the most ridiculous political wrestle in the history of Malaysia. Not only has the twin MB incident become a laughing stock, but Pakatan state assemblymen’s lacking in principles, wobbling stands on many issues and many more, all have caused people to lose faith on the alliance, whether they are capable of winning voters’ support in the coming election is very much doubtful.
5.)Lim Guan Eng moves into lavish mansion
Penang Chief Minister’s residence is undergoing some major renovation and repair work due to termite problem. While DAP criticizes BN’s assemblymen for living in lavish mansions, their very own secretary general Lim Guan Eng moved into one.It seems as if DAP has fallen into a contradiction.
6.)Demolition of pig slaughterhouse in Alor Setar
Not long after Pakatan took over Kedah, the new state government controlled by PAS had ordered the one and only pig slaughter house in Alor Setar to be demolished. This only shows how ignorant and unfair Pakatan government is, when it comes to defending the basic rights and feelings of other races. The matter almost went out of control when DAP announced that they would quit from Pakatan, which has revealed the fact that relationship between component parties of the alliance is abominable.
7.)Pakatan’s internal conflicts leading to unrest political scene
Component parties within Pakatan do not share common view in much of its administration, differences on many policies leading to clashes amongst assemblymen, exco members and party leaders is nothing new.Not only that, they try to pick each other’s fault and there is lack of trust with each other, obviously.People are slowly losing their faith on Pakatan’s capability and efficiency in running a government.
8.)PAS’s internal conflict
PAS is split into two, when it comes to whether or not they should hold talks with UMNO.Even though PAS is a component party of Pakatan, and an opposition party, but certain party leaders obviously is showing signs of leaning towards the other side. Not only common consensus is absent within the top leadership of Pakatan, even worse, they do not have a clear political direction.
9.)PAS’ discrimination against non-Malays
PAS top leadership resolutely opposed the idea of appointing a non-Malay to hold the post of Selangor’s State Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) General Manager, its policy is unfair, unjust and against the spirit of democracy, only benefits of certain racial group is taken into account, not one’s ability. This shows that PAS does not have what it takes to be a government that belongs to all Malaysian.
10.)PAS’s ultimate goal in building an Islamic nation
According to the Federal Constitution, Malaysia is a secular and multi religious nation in which Islam is the nation’s official religion, all other races shall have the freedom to religion.PAS insisted on building an Islamic nation, turning Malaysia into a theocratic state, not only this goes against the spirit of Federal Constitution, it is an indifferent to people’s will.
